I was fiddling around with the jQuery Validation installed with eCart6 and I noticed a couple issues/questions.

The links installed for both the css & JavaScript files do not reflect the correct path from my file. Both link to "webassist/jq_validation/..." Instead of "../webassist/jq_validation/..." since my page is in a folder 1 level down.

thanks for bringing this to our attention, I have logged a bug to have it corrected in the next update

The link to the css file is installed twice.

This one i am not able to reproduce, but will keep my eye on it to hopefully find the trigger.

In the jQuery Form Validation wizard, what determines if a field is listed under the "Field:" dropdown on the "Field Settings" tab.? Mine were not.

the form elements must have a valid type and name attribute set. If you continue to have a probelm, send a copy of the form, and i will be able to spot the cause.

I'm curious why you chose jQuery h5Validate over what I thought was the very popular jQuery.Validate ( which was even used as example of jQuery capabilities in a book I just bought The Joy of jQuery.

h5Validate was cossen because it allows for validation and use of HTML 5 form elements like type="email" in older browsers that don't have native support for them.

it allows you to develop your forms using modern HTML 5 elements and have those forms still function in older browser like IE 8
