how to add a redirect to search page if result page is opened without search?

how to add a redirect to search page if result page is opened without search?

When a user goes to the search page and search example a email address it goes to the result page showing all the results for that email this is fine, But when a user goes to the resultpage.php without doing a search (skipping the search and typing resultpage.php in directly) he sees all results and all the email addresses.

I want to know if I can redirect him to the search when no search is done. the search has css spry validation so a user must use a correct email. that way avoiding them to see other email addresses.

Is this possible please assist asap.
