Getting my head around encryptions

Hi,

I am building security assist (via databridge) pages login for a private club. The password is set for encryption using SHA1.

All of the details - namely user name, email and address etc have to be very secure on the database, however they need to be able to be shown/visible in the members area for admin to update - eg if they change address or if admin needs to contact them directly.

Can you tell me what is the best encryption for the above name/email/phone/address sections? I have looked through the links you included on the SA page that go to http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.crypt.php, http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.hash.php etc but they didn't make much sense. I have also looked through the forum but couldn't find what I was looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Nic
