yahoo mechant solutions

Hi have a question here,

I have been looking at the e-cart solution (thanks to those who posted in the e-cart section, david powers php solutions really worked, I have installed everything from zen cart, drupal, joomla, to os commerce) but I don't really like these CMS, like dot net nuke really it's about templating to get things really unique...sounds awful I know, but I am just not a coder.

Anyway, e-cart seems like the only solution to get my own templates from sculptor/site assist and turn them into something special.

Now here is my question, a few years back webassist had a nifty dreamweaver extension for yahoo merchant solutions which allowed one to download the entire site, tweak the layout, pallette, etc and export it with all the necessary changes where the site would function as if you hadn't done anything at all.

spoke with a webassist rep today and he said they don't support it anymore, both e-cart and the commerce template will do the job, but let's say I have a client who wants me to redo an existing layout but not the products, can I download the entire site using siteimport redo the layout, not touching any references other than images in the header footer let's say (not changing html to css just the overall scheme) and upload it back into the server? I looked at the features reel and one thing had me worried, the converting of dynamic data to html. what other functions than just taking a closer look at website's design, can this do?
