Troubleshoot TotalPrice function

I seem to really be having a lot of trouble with the TotalPrice function failing. I have a standard cart that is fully functional, but am implementing a restricted access cart with a function similar to that of a donation, where the price can be entered. The cart page then displays a cart, with item and price in place, but the TotalPrice function is displaying as 0.00.
This is the same function that failed last week when building a populate cart from recordset page.
I followed the tutorial and bound the columns, with price being updateable... here is my add to cart button on page... I feel like since this is the second time I am having this issue, there must be something going on on my end to cause this function to fail...

Any ideas?
