Failure10566 ErrorCredit card type unsupported

I've been getting reports that people can't use American Express card. I tried it myself and got the error:

Failure10566 ErrorCredit card type unsupported4a56f3c693c9d2012-08-02T18:22:34Z25.00

No wonder there are 0 transactions with American Express. I see mostly Visa and a few MasterCard transactions but no Amex. I called Paypal a while back to inquire about it and they said that the problem is not on their side. Paypal accepts Amex so I'm looking to Webassist to find out what in the code could be causing the problem. I'll give you login details if need be.

Thank you.
