any of the menus can be adjusted to be wider than the defaults, however, if it is a menu that uses images for the background, you may run into issues.
There are 2 different ways that images are used as backgrounds:
1) 1 image is used as the background applied to the a tag.
Example of this is the dell menu
2) 3 different images are used one for either end, and one for the middle.
in this case the image for the middle can be a sliver that is repeated
If you are using one of the designs that use a single background image, you can set it to repeat, although the problem you where running into in your other thread is that you where using a gradient, using a gradient , you cant set the image to repeat, in this case, you need to create an image that fits the menu you are trying to create.
