Importing existing names and emails from a CSV file

Hi Support

I have used your suggested (in a previous post) tutorial in import a csv file, which was very straight forward. This was OK importing one csv file into the database either replacing or merging with the existing data.

I now have a new client with a requirement to import approximately 1000 addresses into PowerMessenger and have them split into 4 groups.

These 4 groups receive different mailshots most of the time but occasionally they all receive the same mailshot.

I can see that this is straight forward in PowerMessenger to set up from scratch, as they register one at a time and then subscribe to each of the mailshot groups as required. They can even subscribe to one or all four, their choice.

My question is with a 1000 emails which already have a preference for the mailshot group in a csv file, how would I import them into the users table and preserve the preferences for mailshot groups?.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Mac
