CMS upload wierdness..

Hi -

I'm having a stange issue with uploading images / movies and pdfs to the site.

It will upload images less than 5 meg ok - it will upload v small movies sometimes - it won't uload pdf's ( wromg file type) and mostly won't upload AVIs Mpegs etc.
I have checked permissions. ( all 755)
I have checked that line of js as advised for others ( I don't have that line anywhere I can see)
I have checked file types allowed in the HTML editor config areas - all ok
I have checked that the PHP 2 meg limit has been changed to 50meg
