Tooltip failing to compose on screen

Hi, just applied v1.0.1

Applied successfully to a new text field with spry validation already in place.
On executing, the tooltip appeared as expected but it did not have any padding so the text was tightly wrapped by the border - not desired behaviour.

Below is how I have it applied

<legend>Contact Details</legend>
<ol>                                                              <li>                                                                <label for="fName">First Name</label>
<span id="fnameChk">
<input type="text" id="fName" name="fName" value="" />
<span class="textfieldRequiredMsg">A value is required.

I'd like have a reasonable padding/margin around my text.

Advice as to how i might achieve this welcome.

Thanks, Paul
