Changing Database

Thread began 7/27/2009 10:09 pm by tirzahm338096 | Last modified 7/29/2009 11:01 am by tirzahm338096 | 973 views | 1 replies

Changing Database

I would like to change some of the product fields within the database and I'm wondering if its as simple as adding and renaming the fields and then making sure i update and add them within the content pages.
I am looking to customize for a bookstore and would like to add a author field and also change ProductSKU to ProductISBN. I also have 4 different languages of books and would like to create a language category as well. How much will i be upsetting the apple cart so to speak with these changes or are they fairly minor? I am a rookie rookie and wondering if I'm being to bold to attempt this. Any help or heads-up would be appreciated.
