Installing PowerStore on local wamp server

I get the following message when installing PowerStore4.0.1 on my local wamp server:

"Failed to save the settings in the database. Please verify your database connection"

I have checked the connection script. Seemed to be right but I still get the error message. What I'm I doing wrong or what is the cause of the repeated problem?

the error pretty mush means that the connection script is not correct.

if you are installing on a local server, the MySQL server should be "localhost", the user name should be "root"

I believe that the default password for MySQL in is a blank value. but you should change it using the Wamp Admin panel.
