Frequently Asked Questions

The 'webassist' directory was not created.

In some instances, an Expression Web bug causes the webassist directory not to show in the Files list, even though it was actually created. Close and reopen Expression Web and the 'webassist' directory should display.

Expression Web crashed when creating my search page.

There have been some reports of Expression Web crashing when creating pages that have the same file name as pages that already exist in your site. In most cases, Expression Web has not crashed but needs to refresh. Minimize Expression Web and then restore the window and the interface should return to it's usual state.
