No error, but no pictures

I have created a new gallery and am trying to add jpg pictures to it. I uploaded them to my server and under Add Images>Server Upload select the folder they are in. PG gives me the message that it's processing the photos and then the green check mark with the message "0 images were successfully uploaded! Manage your images to customize the title, description and order in the gallery."

I'm not sure if it's a file size problem as if I try to do the Single Image Upload and browse to a jpg on my local drive I get the error "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 18432 bytes) in /data/25/2/98/45/2424045/user/2657060/htdocs/spyglasscondos/powergallery/admin_gallery/common/functions.php on line 257"

I'd like to be able to do the whole directory since I already uploaded them. I get no error, but there's no pictures either.

Hi. when you say 'your' server do you mean your local host on your computer? or do you mean an actual live hosting server? because I had issues with uploading certain files that were being resized and found out it wasnt the coding but the hosting. for example I think my hosting has a memory limit of 90MB - and for very large resolution images (even though under 2MB in files size they needed a lot of memory to perform the resizing. I was told to increase my server to around 256MB - but I use 1and1 shared hosting and was told by my hosting that they cannot do that for shared hosting, but only for manage hosting. some hosts, im sure can offer the ability to change memory size or even supply with a big size at the beginning.

Sally: If you want to find the Max memory size for your site, you can create a new php page and add the following code to it after the <body> tag:

php:

<?php echo("memory_limit: ".ini_get('memory_limit').""); ?>

this will show just the memory limit setting

if you wanted to see all of your PHP settings, you could use this code:

php:

<?php phpinfo(); ?>

thats ok Jason, with all the help, yourself and others have given me on here, its the least I can do to return the favour. I have learnt so much from reading other peoples posts so its better to be more involved on the forum then simply asking questions for myself. :)
