Getting incorrect Developer notes

Thread began 1/17/2011 7:08 am by tony_woolfson367959 | Last modified 1/19/2011 7:07 am by Jason Byrnes | 3353 views | 11 replies |

Getting incorrect Developer notes

When I add any content, I always get the same developer notes, as below

------

<?php
include('/home/sites/collageyourlife.co.uk/public_html/cms/WA_CMS/addtosite.php');
echo WA_getCMSContent($database_PowerCMSConnection, $PowerCMSConnection, '@@content-group@@', '@@content-ref@@', false@@order@@);
?>

Am I doing something wrong, or is the software not doing what it should?

Many thanks,

Tony

There is a fix for this in the Known Issues section of the PowerCMS Download page.

The problem is caused by some servers being set to process a page ending in php.js as a php page instead of a js file.

Tried the fix -doesn't work

Thanks for the rapid reply Jason. I have done exactly what the site says, but I still get the same problem. I have cleared the browser cache, restarted the computer etc., but to no avail.

I have uploaded with this message the file that is now on the server (the updated one) so you can see what is in it.

Hope you can sort this.

Many thanks again,

Tony

in cases where that updated file does not fix the problem, you may need to rename the file as fuelphp.js then change the references to it in the code. See this post for details:

Still doesn't work

Hi Jason,

Done that. Changed to fuelphp.js. Updated 6 files (contenthistory_results, contents_insert, contents_results, content_update, index and optimization). Uploaded fies.

Logged in again. Emptied cache.

Still exactly the same. Tried IE8 and Firefox. Am running PHP5.

Any other thoughts?

Sorry for the trouble. I love the system, so hopefully we can get it to work.

Thanks,

Tony

What happens if you try to access the fule.js file directly in the browser?

If your not sure how to do this, send me a link to the powercms index page and I can get to it from there.

Link to Javascript file

Hi Jason,

You are right - I don't know how to do this. I take it you mean Fuel.js?

The new file I created was fuelphp.js.

The Powercms index page is at index.php.

You can log in to the CMS with <removed>

Sorry this is such a pain, but if I'm having the problem, others may be too.

Thanks Tony

I think it's fixed

Hi Jason.

Looks like i did all the stuff in Dreamweaver then forget to rename the file on the server.

Tried it and it seems to work.

Would you please check now?

Also, please don't access any of the actual pages of the site and do anything with them - Linda is working on the pages with her designer for the next couple of hours.

Hope you will find that the code is now produced correctly and in the normal way.

Please confirm.

Thanks and best wsihes,

Tony
