Newbie Start up problem

Hi all
I run site sculptor for the first time straight into a new html page and everytime this error runs:

RunTime error!
Program: C
R6025
pure virtual function call

I've re-installed site sculptor, dreamweaver and xammp and have tried many combinations.
Day 3 and I'm now asking for help, what is wrong with which software and how do I correct it?

Hi Sabby,

What you're describing is an infrequently recurring problem with Adobe Dreamweaver, and is usually quickly fixed by deleting a Dreamweaver configuration cache file.

If you click the 'Common Installation Issues' link (at the top right of this page), and follow the exact instructions for deleting the WinFileCache.dat file, that should sort your problem. (Make sure Dreamweaver is closed when you remove it).

If it doesn't solve the problem, please post back again.

Hi neilo
Thanks for the reply
I ran that sequence and deleted the WinFileCahe.dat file.
Same error runs.
I ran the un-install and re-install site sculptor with DW shut down.
Same error runs.

Hi Neilo
Success!
I Un-installed dreamweaver and Re-installed dreamwever.
Un-installed sitesculptor and Re-installed sitesculptor.
Deleted the c:/xammp/htdocs site file contents.
Went to delete the WinFileCache.datfile. Now, there was a second config file, configuration-1 and in it was WinFileCache.datfile. I deleted it.
Opened dreamweaver.
File new html page.
New site sculptor and added password.
And the boot up was completely different...
Loading 8 php pages and 21 files.
Incomparison to the previous runtime error site that consisted of 2 php pages, 1 index.php and 1 aboutus.php and about 3 or 4 files I think, bow wow, the reconfig site sculptor is a betty boo.
Thank you...

Nice one - that's good news! It is very rarely necessary to re-install Dreamweaver, but I guess these things are subject to very individual, particular circumstances.

Appreciate you taking the time to post back with your solution and methodology - it will undoubtedly help someone else to be able to follow your procedure in the future.

Have fun with Site Sculptor - it's a great extension.

Thanks neilo
Can you help with a preview issue?
Do I need a database set up on xammp to preview the site?
At this time I get a 404 error.
