Can you add extra Product Detail images in PowerStore?

Hi

When adding a product you can add a Catalog image and a Detail image, is there a way to add more than 1 Detail image?

Thanks

You can link to images in the description, but there is no built in process for adding more details images. If you have PowerGallery as well, there is a gallery set up for putting into the product details page. It will use a lightbox effect to display the image when clicked on.

Let's just imagine that we don't want to purchase any more WebAssist products here, OK?

To add a lightbox on our own - if we know how to do that normally (you don't need to give instructions for that part), which pages would we need to add the code to, and how would we edit that template/page?

You would add it in the long description of the product, which is the same place you would add the PowerGallery tags. You would insert it directly into the code view of the long description.

I have Power Gallery and I'm curious if there is a short recipe for how to use it with Power Store 3 as mentioned in an earlier post?

There isn't, but it should be pretty simple. Basically you would create a new gallery for each product and upload the images for that product. Then you would choose the design as the "Ribbon + Lightbox for PowerStore". Then go to the add to site section and there are instructions for adding the gallery to the PowerStore on that page.

PowerGallery + PowerStore

Hi,

I tried to follow the instructions listed on the PowerGallery "add site" but my gallery simply does not show on the PowerStore Products_Details.php.

I added the link to my PowerGallery right next to Long Desciption field per the below.

<div id="ProductLongDesc"><?php echo $row_WADAProducts["ProductLongDesc"]; ?><input type="hidden" name="powergallery" id="2" theme="dark" value="/home/cleankil/public_html/powergallery/galleries/ribbon_lightbox_powerstore/index.php" /></div>

There is a note regarding known issues with PowerStore but I have the latest version of PowerStore 3 and none of the known issues reference PowerGallery.

Also, how can one link a gallery to a specific product since the way PowerStore works is with dynamic pages like /Products_Detail.php?ProductID=1. If I managed to add PowerGallery to the product details page, it will reference a static gallery per the reference above with "powergallery" id="2".

In the future, a simple page of detailed instructions would make it much easier and I am sure would encourage PowerStore owners to buy PowerGallery.

Thanks

Emmanuel

Can you post up a link to the product_details page that doesn't show the gallery correctly?

You will create a different gallery for each different product. Then in the description for that product (you would edit the product on the admin end) enter the code for displaying the image on the page there. The description will be saved for that particular product and will be displayed when the product is being viewed.

PowerGallery + PowerStore

Hi Jimmy,

I tried to figure out where I would post the code on the product definition page in the PowerStore Admin section. There are 3 different description sections: "Cart Description", "Short Description"and "Long Description".

The page you asked for can be found here: Products_Detail.php?ProductID=1

I am really trying to understand the way it is all supposed to be tied with each other and I appreciate your help.

You would put it in the long description for the product_details page. The cart description is what is displayed in the cart and the short description is what is displayed on the product_results page.
