Sitemap facility has disappeared

Sitemap facility has disappeared

My original version of Site Assist allowed me to generate a sitemap. Now I can’t do that. I’ve tried to purchase Surveyor on the website, but the only price I can find is $49 – I don’t mind paying something towards your upkeep but having lost the sitemap facility I do object very strongly to paying twice for it. I reckon I have spent nearly $1000 on your software and reckon I deserve better than this!! Please either re-instate the sitemap in SiteAssist or let me purchase Surveyor at a more reasonable discounted price. Incidentally I think this is more of a sales issue, but when I e-mailed your Customer Service / Sales people I was referred back to this forum.

The site map is still available in the newest versions of SiteAssist Pro, it is a page type that you select for a page in your site. You can just add in a new page and from the list of available page types just select one of the site map page types.

Sitemap is NOT created

I've tried this but the so-called sitemap bears NO relation whatsover to the various pages already set up by SiteAssist. It is a very basic template with a list of pseudo-pages which I then have to amend. Working with a large site of many pages this is a task I do not want. Why doesn't SiteAssist do this?

The site map page type is the only site map that is offered in SiteAssist. The functionality to create a dynamic site map is not a feature of SiteAssist Pro but is available within Surveyor.

How do I generate an xml sitemap for an existing website?

I found it impossible to purchase "Surveyor" by itself. Each time I clicked on it for $49.99, I was directed to the webassist site that says: SiteAssist Professional $99.99. I bought the SiteAssist Pro for $99.99 with the understanding that Surveyor was included in it and I would be able to generate xml sitemaps for my already exixting websites online. One site has well over 25,000 urls in it.

I can not find anywhere in the SiteAssist Pro product that allows me to generate xml sitemaps or even html sitemaps for my existing Dreamweaver CS4 sites.

Can anyone show me where and how to accomplish this should be easy task?

Thank you so much,
Diana

neilo

The WebAssist Surveyor links are all messed up - you should not have been directed to the SiteAssist 'Buy' page. From what I have tried, there is no way to buy 'Surveyor' at the moment until WebAssist correct the site structure.

The site map can't be dynamically created with SiteAssist. You should be able to claim a refund for that, and buy Surveyor once Webassist correct their mistake.

You could write to sales@webassist.com and ask for a refund.

Thank you for verifying that you can not buy Surveyor right now. I have a phone call into webassist hoping for a response.

I think that this has been cleared up on the site, when I go to Surveyor I can see the product and add it to the cart and checkout, here is the link to the product page that I used:

surveyor/

If you have purchased Surveyor by mistake please request a refund from sales and they will be glad to help you out.
