Paypal Not submitting phone # when processing

Our Powerstore 3 is not gathering the phone# when using paypal express, so we cannot contact any customers if we need to. The receipts have all of the name, shipping and address info, just not the phone #.

Darn. I've got the same thing. Do you know if it is a Paypal setting or a cart setting? I've added to Ray's collected issues.

Jason: Posting a screen shot of issue, if you have any thoughts. This is in Paypal express (which we changed to a few nights ago). I'm trying to determine if I should call Paypal and discuss or if it is a cart setting since this thread got started. Thanks for any insight.

As you can see the field for telephone is inaccessible in Paypal. I'm guessing that something in the cart system could be changed to include this field.

I contacted paypal and there is a setting in the profile to set phone to be "on." I did that, but it is not affecting the results. Is there a cart setting that needs to be also changed?

Here's paypal instructions:

Follow these steps to activate the Contact Telephone Number option:

1. Log in to your PayPal account at www.paypal.com.
2. Click the Profile subtab.
3. In the Selling Preferences column, click the Website Payment Preferences link.
Click on My Selling Tools if you do not see this.
4. Scroll down the page to the Contact Telephone Number section.
5. Select one of the following options:
– On (Optional Field): prompts payers to enter telephone numbers as an option.
– On (Required Field): requires payers to enter telephone numbers
– Off (Recommended): does not prompt payers to enter telephone numbers
6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button.

My error on this. The phone number is grayed out, but it is ABOVE the field for the telephone. I just didn't see it. Hope this helps someone else.

Well, it must be a cart setting. I was able to enter a phone number into paypal, but it did not show up in store order admin. See screen shot.

Any help, most appreciated.
