Issue with update in dreamweaver

I tried to update the cms with "edit in dreamweaver" on the properties menu and it build some new template page so I couldn't update the page with my template. Then it wouldn't work so I over-rode the file which was a mistake. When I tried to detach the template, its saying template not found and the one its looking for is non exsistant. What can I do to fix and how can I do this in the future?

attached the file I have and the one it created.
