Applying the SSL to the shopping cart

I have a question regarding the SSL. I have SSL applied to my website. But the pages that was generated using the E cart 5 wizard doesn't have www.mydomain.com. My question is is it still safe? All the other pages on the site have www.mydomain.com What should I do. Should I the create the insert checkout form for the checkout?

Sturgisk,

You've raised an issue that others have interest in. Fortunately for you-you were able to correct the problem. Unfortunately for us you didn't provide the solution!

Isn't that how this support forum is suppose to work? Sharing knowledge as well as seeking helpful information for yourself...

there are two ways to deal with Securing eCart:
1) Redirect all http traffic to the https server

2) Set the cart page to direct to https. to do this double click the Checkout server behavior on the cart display page and add the full URL To checkout.php.

depending on the gateway you select, you may have to find instances where you are redirecting the gateway to the http site again on the checkout pages and change them to point to the https server.

My personal preference is the first one. I feel safer shopping at a site that is on a secure server when I first arrive.
