eCart 5 - server dropped the connection

hi there

I had initially set up my eCart to point to SagePay, which worked fine.

I then had to change to local payments only so I followed the wizard, but now none of my website pages open and instead i get the following error:

Safari can’t open the page “web address/” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again.

any ideas what I've done wrong here ?...

thanks

hi - I have found the problem, which I believe to be a bug in eCart 5

I'm using DW CS3, Snow Leopard with eCart 5

When I go to the eCart Object --> Shipping - if I select the 'Include shipping in cart subtotal' checkbox this it what breaks the pages and causes the error

can you fix/advise asap please

I am unable to reproduce the problem by checking the Include shipping in cart subtotal option, can you send a copy of your cart include file so I can look into the problem further.

The problem is the way you have created the shipping rule.

since you want to include shipping in the tax, you cannot refer to the taxable total in the trigger for the shipping rule, it causes in infinite loop.

where your shipping is a fglat rate of 4.25, using the trigger of subtotal for cart < 30.25 will yield the same result without the infinite loop.

you also need to change the trigge for the tax rule from Number of Unique Items = 0 to > 0
