Rename function: Does it overwrite existing filename?

Using the standalone rename function of Digital File Pro 2:

Will this function overwrite an existing file if the desired new file name already exists? (I Would like it too but there is no option to set regarding overwrite)

Was looking through the HelperPHP.php file for the answer to my question and came across code (line 142):

if($fileExists){
switch($fileExistsAction){
case "0": // "Overwrite"

Should a variable be passed in the rename function such as $case = "0"?

If this is the solution (or it is another) can you please provide a working example of the code for a rename function that will overwrite an existing file?

The rename server behavior will not overwrite, it will only rename an existing file.

The code you referenced is part of the upload function. This is the code that handles the case where you are uploading a file where one with the same name already exists. It will either overwrite the original or it will append a value to the new file.
