Reset Cart

I have some users that have been shopping with us before and when they add new items to the cart and click checkout it empties the cart... Can you tell me why this is happening?

Do I need some php code to clear the cart after they checkout or leave the cart page?

Thanks,
Tim

Do you have a link to your site so i can run a quick test?

Also, does this happen the first time you go through the check out, or does it happen after you have already made a purchase?

You can test at www.barksandbones.com. I notice it happens when you click the checkout that takes you to an https page and leave then come back and try to add something to your cart and click checkout and empties the cart. Sometimes if you clear the cart it keeps the shipping charge till you delete the cookie.

Thanks,
Tim

I just did a test on your site and i was not able to reproduce the issue, here is the steps i took:

1. on the home page i added one item, then clicked checkout, filled in the form and clicked the check out button
2. on the confirm page, i clicked on the home menu and added to the cart again, and then clicked check out.
3. the cart displayed everything correctly.

Are those the steps you are talking to reproduce this issue, if not, please let me know how i could reproduce this issue.

In regard to the shipping, you should clear the shipping cookie on the check out success page and on the top of your cart page.
