can dynamic drop down move a value from one box to the next

Hello, i am showing 2 php values in a drop down box, course code - course title

what i am looking to do is when the drop down box is selected to copy out the course code and put it in a seperate text field to be stored in the database.

would i use dynamic drop down for this or use javascript? And if the latter, any one have any idea how?

Yes dynamic dropdowns can do this, see the help documentation for an example and instructions:
