A couple questions: payment gateway, products and more

I am interested in powerstore 2 and have some questions.

As for the payment gateway, which one is most popular and/or cheaper and/or better? Can I use free gateways like paypal standard until I have a certain amount of products? I basically want to get a good looking store up and running, but for awhile it might just have 10 or 20 products. I have the availability of up to 500+ (paintball items) but want to get some other stuff up first to get things rolling.

That brings me to my next question; Can this accommodate hundreds of products? Non-tangible items such as design/Animation Creation (with options to upload/download project files or idea documents) ?

I have some other questions but will post them up later as I am pressed for town now.

Currently the two gateways that are supported by default in the PowerStore are PayPal Payments Pro and Authorize.NET.

Which one you choose is completely up to you, the integration and use is very similar for the two. One main difference is that if you choose to use PayPal Payments Pro your customers will have the option of paying by credit card directly on the site or by paying through PayPal. You should do some research on both of these to determine which one is best for you.

PowerStore does not support Payments Standard by default.

There is no limit to the number of products that you can add to PowerStore, but there is no support for digital goods with uploading and downloading.
