New Extension Coming Soon: ThemeIt

We are working on a new Dreamweaver extension, called ThemeIt, which we are aiming to launch in February. It will read in the current file you have open in Dreamweaver and serve two functions: manage colors and manage images. The manage colors tab will display all the colors affecting your page, regardless of the style sheet they are in, and allow you to manipulate those colors directly from the user interface. The manage images tab essentially does the same thing for all images on the page.

Some of the benefits of this extension are:
- reducing the inefficiencies of managing multiple style sheets (which can be difficult to avoid if you are using multiple extensions on one site), such as the time it takes to search for the location in one of your style sheets that is affecting a color or image on the page
- simple user interface to edit your CSS; less time in the code
- preview as you manipulate the CSS

Once I have a build that is relatively stable, I will put this extension out to the entire WCE group for beta testing, should you be interested in participating. Look for a new ThemeIt forum in the WCE section to announce the beta build.
