error after re-installing

hello

i have re-installed the css sculptor and when i try to use it i get the following error message:

While executing onLoad in wacs_serial.htm, the following Javascript error(s) occured:

At line 214 of the file"Machintosh HD:Applications:Adobe DreamweaverCS4:Configuration:Shared:Webassist:CSSSculptor:library:Shared_Ser_Mactivation.js": document.formLayer.document has no properties

I don't know if this matters but i had previously deleted the dreamweaver cache file from the library folder.

Thanks

You should try deleting this cache file one more time to see if it helps with this issue. If it does not clear up the problem for you let me know and I will open a ticket for you on this issue. as it may be related to the activation.

hello, i have deleted the cache but still doesn't work...
It seems that the error appears at the time when the activation popup window is ready to show up. It shows up but it is blank...

Please tell how we can proceed on that

Thanks
John

When I have seen this error before it is almost always a problem with the cache file. Here is a link to our document on deleting this file so that you can try to get past the issue:

If after deleting this file and restarting you still have problems please let us know.

Yes

That did the job, but this problem is one that keeps happening, why do you think that is?
Thanks for your help.

This can happen from time to time because of what this cache file is doing for DW. This file is designed to hold information for DW's internal use so that it does not have to reload this information the next time it is accessed. If the information in this file becomes corrupted or is no longer accurate errors can occur. Here is a link to the Adobe kb article on the subject if you wanted look into this further:

Reinstall fails in CS3

I uninstalled CSS Sculptor 1.5 and installed 3.0. First I got the "While executing onLoad in wacs_manager.htm, a JavaScript error occurred." I uninstalled it, deleted the cache in DW9 configuration folder and reinstalled. Still got same error.

After uninstalling and reinstalling, now I get the message in Extension Manager, right at the end of the install "Cannot update Insertbar.xml. the extension will not be installed."

Any way to make it work?

You may need to rename or delete the configuration folder itself to resolve this problem. Here is a link to the steps for this, please give this a try and let us know if the issue persists.
