PowerStore:Problems setting up MySql database in Dreamweaver

PowerStore:Problems setting up MySql database in Dreamweaver

I can't seem to set up the database correctly in Dreamweaver. I have MySql Database setup through Network Solutions properly and when I try to use the Database control panel to add a new MySql connection when I have opened the index.php file for the first time, I get "an unidentified error has occurred". I have tried calling Network Solutions but they tell me they offer no support for database inquiries. I have tried different combinations of the passwords and server names and addresses but to no avail. Does anybody have some advice or a workaround?

Thanks so much,

Mark Bennett

Hi Mark,

When you set up your mySql database you will have a hostname (usually 'localhost' will be correct), the database name, the database username and the password. These should be entered into your localhost.php

Instuctions are here:

Upload this to your remote server when you have made the changes.

You can post the contents of your localhost.php (in your 'Connections' folder) when you've done, if you want someone to check it over. (Put xxxxxxxxxx instead of your password, as this is a public forum!)
