Not showing our forum posting to general public?

Not showing our forum posting to general public?

Is there any way to restrict our forum post from being picked up by the search engines. As I'm researching our site that we did in PowerStore, I notice all the posts I submited to this forum out there. While nothing is confidential, I'm trying to promote our website's brand and all the tech support issues don't really look very nice.

Is there anything I/we can do, or can you restrict google and the other search engines from crawling /forum directors and or posts?

One thing you can do is to remove the link to your site after an issue is resolved. You can also set up a different server with a different domain name to do the testing on before you port over to the main site, so that the site will not be in the search. Other than that, I do not know of a way to prevent the search engines from crawling the forum posts.
