Data assist list menu not working

I created pages usng data assist however I manually changed some text fields to menu/list giving various values for the user to select from.
Although this facility works perfectly well in insert, unfortunately in update screen doesn't appear to be working and it seems to not recognise what is held previously in the file.

You should be able to change the input type on your update page the same as on your insert page. Once you do this however you will need to update the dynamic values of this select list. You will need to select the list on the page and in the property inspector you will need to set the selected value to the value from the rs using the dynamic button. This should make the list default to the value that is in the record.
