In valid MySQL-Link

Thread began 12/20/2009 10:08 am by vmartinez310076 | Last modified 12/21/2009 1:07 pm by Jason Byrnes | 871 views | 2 replies |

In valid MySQL-Link

I am getting the following errors when submitting the confirm.php page.

Warning: mysql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/jointrev/public_html/confirm.php on line 430

Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/jointrev/public_html/confirm.php on line 464

Here is the code from those two lines:

Line 430: mysql_select_db($WA_connectionDB, $WA_connection);

Line 464: $WA_editCmd = mysql_query($WA_Sql, $WA_connection) or die(mysql_error());

Can anyone give help me correct these errors?

It's complaining about the values supplied by the variables $WA_connectionDB and $WA_connection.

Check to see what you are using for connecting to your database.

The values used by the $WA_connectionDB and $WA_connection variables are pulled from the database connection file. Look for a line similar to:

<?php require_once('Connections/localhost.php'); ?>

and make sure it is at the top of you php script. The name of the file in the connections folder will be different on your computer depending on the name of the connection you are using.
