Modify Template in Dreamweaver CS4

I am completely confused with why it is that when i am using the site assist wizard i do not have the options shown in your web tutorials. In dreamweaver i do not get the option to import image etc.

As a result when i then go to amend the template i find that i can's amend the home page picture or text that is displayed on the picture. Please please please would somebody get back to me asap with a solution.

Thanks

Please provide a link to the exact tutorial you are following. Are you using SiteAssist Pro? Assuming you are running the wizard, then trying to update the template yourself, you can just use Dreamweaver's built in functionality to do so. Keep in mind, if you re-enter the SiteAssist Pro wizard after modifying the template yourself, it might overwrite your changes. Using the mystyles.css will keep your css changes persistent even if you re-enter the wizard.

Modify Template in Dreamweaver CS4

Thank you for your response.

I am using pro and the link i referred to is as follows:

02_creating_the_site.swf

When you watch this tutorial you get the opton to import image and insert text. When i run the wizard i only get the option to choose the template and styles.

In summary what i am trying to achive is to use site assist pro and then to edit the text which appears on the image on the home page in dreamweaver. It seems that i can edit all other pages other than the home page. Sorry i mean the image and the text on the image.

This is really fustrating for me because i so want your product together with dreamweaver to work the way i thought it would.

Please can you tell me how if poss i can sort this out.

Regards

That tutorial is for the original SiteAssist, not for SiteAssist Pro, so the tutorial won't be accurate for the product you are using. To do what you want, you can just open the image in an image editor and update it. You can then use this image by making a reference in the mystyles.css or by editing the home page yourself and inserting your new image.
