Watermark Issue

Where is the text for the watermark stored?

In the Admin panel I inserted '©' and it displayed as the copywrite circle with a 'C' in the middle.

On publishing the pictures it displays as code, '©'

Have I missed something?

I'm having an odd problem with this too.

The watermark text is stored in the gallery database that you set up when you installed the gallery:

table: pg1_gallery
field: watermark_text

HOWEVER: I have changed the text in that field to include a © (Alt+0169) mark, and it takes the change and shows the symbol as it should, but even with this applied, the watermark will not update on the images. Have closed browser, cleared the cache and still the old watermark is applied.

Am still pondering . . .

Edit:

Reuploaded image, and new watermark took, but © comes out wrong, despite being right in database. Page encoding?

It does appear to be a charset issue. I am not sure of an exact fix yet, but something that changes to charset is probably needed. I found this function that might get us on the right track: function.iconv.php. I'll log an issue so that we can look into it.

Just for info, to add to the weirdness, if my title or description contains an '&', then any text following the '&' will not appear. I have to write 'and'.

I notice the '&' issue as well, nothing trailing after.

I'm not that clued up on php so I don't delve far.
