Image not uploading after record is created

Image not uploading after record is created

I have two issues. The first issue has to do with the Digital File Pro 2 upload server behavior. All of the data on my form is uploaded correctly except for the images. Neither the image nor the image name is saved to the database. This has been a source of intense frustration since the upload server behavior worked just fine is Digital File Pro 1. Scouring the WebAssist forums took me down a lot of dead ends.

Issue number 2 revolves around the update server behavior. While testing my form out I discovered that when I updated a page it destroyed the image record. (These are pre-existing images in the database and not the result of a successful image file upload)

Upon further examination, I discovered that the Digital File Pro DefaultFileName is not being set after clicking the "lighting bolt" on the Default File field. Obviously, there is something seriously wrong here that makes me want to just downgrade to version 1 of the software. I have tried that already only have run into more errors that it was worth which why I reinstalled version 2 again.

If someone at WebAssist can help me I would appreciate it as I am already behind schedule with a clients website.

Thank you,
Robert Crespo

For the first issue, please send a copy of the insert page so I can examine the code to see what the problem may be.

for the second issue, after clicking the lightning bolt and selecting the hidden form element, use the enter key on your keyboard to force the default file setting to stick before clicking the OK button.

Update page destroying my images

Jason, you wrote earlier:

"on the second issue, after clicking the lightning bolt and selecting the hidden form element, use the enter key on your keyboard to force the default file setting to stick before clicking the OK button."

While this took care of the issue by forcing the settings to stick as you instructed, upon further testing, when I update the record again all of the image details are deleted. I have included my update file for you to also examine.

PLEASE DISREGARD THIS LATEST POST AS I FIGURED OUT THE PROBLEM WITH THE UPDATE PAGE.

However, I am still having difficulty with the insert page.

On the insert page, the forms encoding type is not set.

For file upload to occur, the forms encoding type must be set to multipart/form-data

change the form tag on the insert page to:

html:
<form action="products_Insert.php" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" name="WADAInsertForm" id="WADAInsertForm">

Mission accomplished

Jason, thank you for all your help as your code corrected the issue. I looked all day and night at the code and was making sure everything matched up according to the help guides. However, the one piece of data that I was not comparing was the form field itself. Thanks again for WebAssist's great customer support.
