setting up checkout and confirm pages

Hi,
I was following the directions, which pertain to the Blue Sky Store, and my store is different. When I got to the part about binding the orders and orderdetails tables, I was not sure what to do at this point:

Your directions are to select the ordersreferenceid . and your make it a session variable. I do not have a ordersreferenceid. I have an orderid, custid, and so on, the custid will get the custid from the customers table. I am assuming that this session variable will post to the ordersdetail table as the detailorderid. My ordersdetail table is called, order_items, I was going to have the orderid from the orders table post to it as well as other info. If that is the case should I be making my orderid the session variable or just add another field called ordersrefid in the orders table and make it a session and add that to the order_items table?
Thank you

the orderrefID column is not 100% necessary. If you do not have one, you can either ignore that particular binding or create one in the orders table.

Everything else sounds like you are on the right track.
