CS3 on Windows 7 closing programme problem

I have googled for answers to my problem with no avail so hope some kind sole here mmight be able to advise.

I have read that although CS3 was not designed for Win 7 many people are running it successfully except me.

Everything seems to work OK in Dreamweaver until I try to close the programme down. Instead of closing, it just hangs and I have to close it using Task Manager

I have tried running it as an administrator and in Vista compatability mode but the problem still persists.

I have even tried deleting the webcache as suggested on here in a help file, still does not help.

I reinstalled it (repaired it) today and still will not close properly.

If anybody has the answer I would be most grateful

I would totally uninstall DW and reinstall it (not repair it). I am running CS3 under Windows 7 and have not experienced a problem -

Try renaming the configuration folder, step 2 at the following link:

after renaming the configuration folder, do not install any extensions, but test to see if you can open, then close Dreamweaver.

If your still having issues, see the Adobe Dreamweaver Troubleshooting page:
