site assist issues

I am using the following:

Macbook Pro 2.53 GHz, 4GB Ram
MacOS 10.6.2
Dreamweaver CS4
Latest SiteAssist

Problem:
In step 2 of 5 in the Select Layout Options - I select any of the layouts
DwCS4 hangs and the MacOS pinwheel spins forever.
I have to open a terminal window and kill the DwCS4 process to quit Dw.

I have removed and reinstalled the Extension, and removed the Mac cache file.
Nothing seems to work. I spent a lot of money buying your products and needless to say I am not a happy camper about this.
Please help !!!

I'm not able to get this error to occur for me in a very similar setup to what you have described. The problem might be due to a corruption of your configuration folder or it may be related to the preview. The first thing to try would be to disable the preview. To do this go to Edit > WebAssist Preferences then click on preview and check the box to disable it. This will ensure that the preview is disabled. Give this a try to see if you get past the problem.

If you do get past the problem then it points to the preview as the issue. To resolve the issue you may need to rename or delete your configuration folder. Here is a link with steps you can take to do that:

Please post back and let us know how this works for you.

Eric
Turning off preview worked for me. Thanks for your help. I will keep you posted if I encounter any more issues.

As the next step for this you should try the renaming or deleting your config folder, if the problem is due to a corruption here then that should resolve it. If you do this and experience the same issue please let us know and I will open a ticket for you so this can be looked into further.
