localhost how to

I added this to my live server, and bango...it worked first time !! nice job on the wizard WA !
But I am having problems getting this to connect on my localhost...using xampp. I am just using localhost in the server area and special user name & pass set up for this db..not super user root.

One question about the one I got working, I just randomly picked a design and the one I picked has a lightbox effect for the title and stuff on the thumbnail...any way to turn that off ? I will have to play some more to see if this is just on this one layout or all of them.

You can go to the Admin panel, click on Choose Design, and choose one that doesn't have +Lightbox in the title.

What problems are you having with localhost. I'm using XAMPP and didn't have any issues.

I'm starting to wonder if my xampp is buggy. I have been having several issues lately. I have now built samples of all the designs and I really like this product! I would like to see a vertical ribbon version also.

In general PowerGallery should run ok on localhost, but I recommend running it on your live server. With the new installation wizard, it will verify your server settings to make sure everything PowerGallery needs is available on the server. Running the installation and full PowerGallery on your live server is the best way to ensure everything will work properly.
