Powerstore UK

Hi, I recently purchased Powerstore and learned later that my client has a uk business paypal account instead of Paypal Payments Pro UK.

Now Im stuck. Although I really like this professional grade ecommerce, I read the forum posts that this system is only for US, but thats not a problem because I can change everything to UK by following the How To tutorials.

My client wants full registration, email receipts and order history and doesn't want to process credit cards directly from the website with SSL. Users have to register to buy, but pay with Paypal at the checkout process.

Please can someone guide me as to what I can do to setup the above requirements.
I have the full Webassist Suite.

Many thanks.

Thanks Office Guy. Client doesn't want a Local checkout (as they are not going to take paments directly from the site) because they dont want to use SSL. I read that if I dont put in Local Checkout in Powerstore (or remove it), much of the functionality will be lost. Thats no good.

So please guide me as to what I can do to retain all functionality if I remove Local Checkout and just have a process whereby a user registers and then checks out, then it jumps to the payment gateway chosen. The user gets all the receipts and order history.

I appreciate your kind assistance.

See #5 in this thread:

I'm afraid that there will be a lot of handing coding involved because of the way PayPal works.

Oh no. I have to look into other shopping carts (which I really dont want to do). I liked the professional look and feel of Powerstore. Is there a remote chance of money back ! When will Powerstore 3 be released? Please advise. Thanks.

I can't speak for WA but PowerStore works as advertised.

From the FAQ:

I want to use PayPal to process payments. Is PayPal Payments Pro required?

Yes. Some of PowerStore's features (including inventory control) require local checkout to function. Due to the fact that local checkout is utilized PowerStore has been configured to use PayPal Payments Pro or Authorize.NET. The usage of any other PayPal options may lead to the loss of features.

What type of checkout does PowerStore utilize?

PowerStore utilizes local checkout which allows the entire payment process for your customers to occur directly on your website rather than having the customer directed to the payment gateway to complete their payment (remote checkout). WebAssist feels that local checkout provides the most professional and seamless user experience for customers therefore have implemented this type of checkout within PowerStore.

Do you have a return policy?

Since PowerStore is a non-tangible irrevocable (non-activated) product we do not issue refunds once the order has been completed and the product has been delivered via your Download Center.

PayPal charges a monthly fee to get the added features you are looking for. You should have a look at WebAssist eCart 4.

Thanks Office Guy for your help. So, basically Im stuck with it. How soon to release Powerstore 3 with Business Paypal Standar? Or how much will it cost for someone to do this for me? Thanks.

There are no plans that I'm aware of to add Payments Standard to a future version of Power Store. If you need to have this functionality added with the help of a developer you should post a thread to the job board describing what you need accomplished. I'm sure that someone there would be willing to get this worked out for you.
