SMTP Authenticated Support

Hi,

This is my first post and I apologize if there is already a thread in regards to this but I could not find one so here goes.

I am a very amateur PHP coder and am wanting to convert the Contact Solution to allow SMTP authentication. Is there a simple way to edit the existing code/files to allow this?

I do own Universal Email but I just love the simplicity of the drag and drop of the solution pack. Please let me know if this is possible... then let me know if this is possible for some $$$... ;-)

Thanks!

Found this post from WA regarding someone's request for the same thing:

You probably need to use Universal Email and change from mail to pear for sending the mail.

The default mail does not support authenticated smtp services.

No apologies necessary. :)

Other's that have done it before might chime in. Or you could use a host that allows PHP to send email.

As office guy pointed out, you would need to use Universal Email to change the mail Object used by the contact form solution pack from mail to Pear mail for SMTP.
