What's New on Index.php - automate?

Thread began 11/20/2009 5:18 pm by pete268226 | Last modified 11/20/2009 8:53 pm by pete268226 | 754 views | 2 replies |

What's New on Index.php - automate?

OK, here's something that would be cool...

In that right "What's New" div on the main page - I would like to have the latest product to be added by my client show up there automatically.

Example: Client adds "soap type 1" to the catalogue. When the index page is loaded, that container shows the Product Results div for "soap type 1". When client adds "soap type 2" to the catalogue, the index page then pulls "soap type 2" for that spot.

So, how do we do that?

You would create a recordset that gets the products from the database. Get the newest record from the recordset and then use the data stored in that record to populate the What's new div. A simple query to the products table should be able to get the records that you need to accomplish this.

Thanks, Jimmy,

Adobe has some good tutorials on how to do this.
