not a valid MySQL-Link resource

This is the error I'm getting on my login page.
Warning: mysql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/apiec/public_html/apiec.shellform.com/WA_SecurityAssist/Helper_PHP.php on line 14

Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/apiec/public_html/apiec.shellform.com/WA_SecurityAssist/Helper_PHP.php on line 20

The page is here.
login.php

I first had trouble setting this up in DW. It didn't recognize my connection so I checked all the settings and they seem to be accurate. When I clicked Test, I got this -
"An unidentified error has occurred".
Well that doesn't help me much. So I then copied the login page and files from another site.

I don't know if it's the server I'm on or DW or my files.

Anyone have thoughts?

Thank you.

Your connections file in the 'Connections' folder on your hosting server should look a bit like this:

<?php
# FileName="Connection_php_mysql.htm"
# Type="MYSQL"
# HTTP="true"
$hostname_yourconnectionname = "localhost"; // leave this as it is
$database_yourconnectioname = "mydatabase"; // change 'mydatabase'
$username_yourconnectioname = "mydbUsename"; // change 'mydbUsename'
$password_yourconnectioname = "mydbPassword"; // change 'mydbPassword'
$pictuality = mysql_pconnect($hostname_yourconnectioname, $username_yourconnectioname, $password_yourconnectioname) or trigger_error(mysql_error(),E_USER_ERROR);
?>

You will need to check that the username, database name and password are correct for the mySql database that exists on your hosted server. You should be able to check these from your website control panel, or from your hosting provider. These are different from the settings you used to test on a database on your own machine.

I have all that. I have this database connection working on Insert and Results pages. As I said, I couldn't set it up in DW because of that error that means nothing so I had to copy from another site.

I just figured it out! Because I had to copy the login page, etc from another site (because DW was being stupid), I neglected to change 2 places where the code was looking for the old connection. Ah ha! That's why it didn't get what I was looking for.

These are very awesome programs! A bit frustrating but then I've never not become frustrated when trying to connect a web page to a database. But I surely do appreciate WA doing all the 'real thinking' for me.
