iRite won't work with Coldfusion after installing HTML editor

iRite won't work with Coldfusion after installing HTML editor

Ok, so I missed the memo on all the webassist plugins only working for PHP. And I was reading the FAQs to fast to realize that "Are multiple languages supported with HTML Editor?" The yes for this meant languages as in English, Italian, Spanish and not PHP, Coldfusion, ASP.. etc.

I purchased HTML editor. Installed it. Had my rude awakening that HTML editor was not going to be the solution that I needed. So, I uninstalled it, reinstalled iRite. Now whenever I try to use the iRite plugin it gives me the "HTML editor only works with PHP" message.

I have totally uninstalled HTML and even removed it from my extension manager. Same with iRite. What should I do now so I can build an WYSIWIG editor for my Coldfusion application using the previous versions of iRite that supported Coldfusion?

Ok, removed it again, now Dreamweaver CS4 starts up, I go to insert iRite and it causes Dreamweaver to crash. I tried to install iRite 1.00.

New issue

I have the iRite working fine, but I can't upload a photo. I get this error message.

Variable STEMPDIR is undefined.

I have checked all permissions. I am thinking this is either a permissions thing or I messed up on the config.cfm file.

Is that the entire message?

It does not reference a line number?

most cold fusion errors are more verbose than that and contain more information. It should say the name of the file the error occurred in and give a line number. Usually it will even show the surrounding code.

if there is more to the error message, please provide the entire error.

That is the entire error message. I am checking with the hosting company to see if this is something on the server side. I had built another site with the KTML Interakt upload WYSIWIG a long time ago and remember running into a similar problem and there was some setting on the server that prevented a temp directory from being created. It seemed that the image file is uploaded to a temp folder and then transferred to the one that you identify.

KTML not being supported by Coldfusion is the reason I am switching to iRite.

I am running into a new error this morning.

access denied (java.io.FilePermission \uploads read)

I have set all the permissions on my uploads folder to 777. So I am not sure what is happening. Here is a link to the page.

I have created a support ticket for this so we can investigate the cause:
