images question in DW

images question in DW

I know this isn't related to WA products, but hopefully someone will know how to do this. I have a buttload (technical term) of images in my root folder. I know I can go into my assets tab to preview, but that would take forever to find the one I want. When I double click on the image in my files tab, photoshop or fireworks always opens up...taking forever. Is here a way I can set something so the IE is my default way to get a quick preview of the image I click on? Usually thats all I want...to make sure it is the correct image b4 I place it. Thanks all

Go to sourceforge.net and start searching.
Open source software could be the answer for you and sourceforge is only one place to look.

1. Find any jpg on your computer. Right-click it and select 'open with'.
2. In the context menu that opens, select 'choose default program' (Tick the box that says 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file'
3. Browse to Program Files > Internet Explorer > and click on 'iexplore.exe' ( or browse to FireFox if you prefer).

Click 'OK' to finish.

Repeat steps for .gif or .png if you want to.

Community MX has an extension that does just this. It puts an action in the right click menu and opens up the image for preview. Multiple images as well.

Heres the link

Beware, it's very expensive. $2 :)

It works with CS4 as well. I never leave home without it.

You're very welcome.

I've used it for years now. I think I was on DW MX when I first found it. It's really surprising how useful it is.
