Order number

How can I make that the order number generated by eCart is recorded into the database as a 3 digits number? For example, 001 etc.

Thank you for you help.

I'm not sure why you would want to limit your order IDs to only have 3 digits, since you wouldn't be able to have orders over 999. You can use substr to truncate the ID before inserting if that is what you want though.

My customer wants the order number to appear as a three digits number. In fact, order number 1 will be order number 1, but it has to appear as 001. Perhaps I can give a 4 digits format, you are right. How can I do that? Do I have to write any code on the confirm page? If so, what code should I write? Do I have to modify my MySql database? Please tell me how to do. Thank you.

What you can do is just have the order id autoincrement in your database and then when you get the value from the database, you can display it in the way you want it to be displayed. Would that work for you?
