Email Password for Security Assist v.1.18 not working for me

Guys,

I am trying to email a forgotten password.
My server does support mail () for php.
I have other sites on the same server where universal email works really well.
But the security assist function to email a forgotten password just won't work for me.
Please see the attached file.

I have tried a few things:

Left the server field blank and the from address blank - as per other posts.
It is still not working.
Is there something I have missed to setup this up?
Should I use either of these server addresses as an alternative to the smtp

Host name for MX record smtpin1.livemail.co.uk

but the smtp server address you entered in the email password behavior is:
smtp.venuhub.net

I'm confused on which one is correct.

Which smtp address have you used when using Universal Email?

In the Universal Email I am using the same smtp address - smtp.venuhub.net just like I am for this failing EmailPW.

I am just asking you:

1. If you can see why it is failing?
2. Why would Universal Email work on the same server and not Email PW?
3. Should I try replacing smtp.venuhub.net for the server on Email PW for:

Mail server IP address 213.171.216.66 (Cluster 1)
Host name for MX record smtpin1.livemail.co.uk

When you post the emailPW page, are you redirected to the USERS_LISTINGS_INPUT_DATA_LogIn.php page or the USERS_LISTINGS_INPUT_DATA_ReDirect.php page?

1) No, I dont see why it is failing.

2) If that smtp server works in universal email, it should work when using the Email Password server behavior.

3) Sure you can give that a try.

work either. So that is no improvement

So I really don't know why this isn't working?

Can you post a coy of one of the universal email pages that works and the WA_UniversalEmail folder so I can compare it with you email password page.

Jason, this uses smtp.idesignmedia.co.uk but is on the same ip address so same server:

213.171.193.5 is ip of server.

Should that make a difference?

have you tried using "smtp.idesignmedia.co.uk" in the email password page?

is this contact us page on the same site as the email password page?


Do you have universal email working on any pages that are in the same site as the email password pages?

The domains are different the server is the same, thats all.
They are both on Linux, and one version of php mail() throughout.
I will try editing the Email PW page to use smtp.idesignmedia.co.uk
