Downloaded filenames missing first two letters.

Hi,

At a time when I thought it might be a good idea to have a repository for user-written tutorials based on 'case-study' (known-to-be-working) implementations of the extensions, I built a simple upload/download page to begin the process.

I no longer think it's a particularly good idea, as the WA documentation anomalies seem to be being ironed-out (thanks!).

However, my page threw up one problem - small, but annoying - that I hope someone can help with.

Upload, validation, and download functions are OK, except that when downloading a file (via the download link), the first two characters of the filename are chopped off, even though the upload function stores the correct filename in the database, and the uploaded file on the server puts with the correct filename.

Tiny problem, but if anyone knows why this might be, I'd really like to know!

Site and code is here . Feel free to test it out (with smallish <= 300kb files), and see what I mean.

Ta.

you are using custom download code, not Digital File Pro. We will not be able to troubleshoot this for you.

maybe someone else in the community will be able to shed some light.

Yes, it is custom - that's is why I posted it in the PHP forum ("Post general PHP questions for members in our community to offer you answers and advice.")- rather than a product page. No worries.

Thanks for reponding.
