little trick (need help)

i'm working on an event managment system using webassist
i've 2 tables courses & categories
courses table have many fields including catid field
categories table have catid field & catname field
so the link between the tow tables is the value in catid field
i've set the course results,search,update and delete for the course table using dataassist

but i need to connect the two tables so to show the catname in the courseresult page instead of catid

Use a JOIN Query to get the results from both tables:

SELECT courses.*, categories.catname
FROM courses
INNER JOIN categories
ON courses.catid = categories.catid

This will return all column from the courses table and the related catname from the categories table.
