Disclaimer added to checkout process

I need to add a disclaimer to the checkout process which must be checked to complete the checkout process. Is this something that needs to be add to the sql database? Any suggestions on where it should be integrated into the shopping cart...........

Any sql code suggestions?

Thanks,
grgsr

Why not just put some disclaimer text, followed by a check box that says "I have read the terms and conditions of this sale" (or something similiar).

If the tick box isnt ticked then put some validation code on the order submit button.

That way, every order that is ever placed has accepted the disclaimer.

Cheers
Ian

You can use the Required Validation available in the Client side or Server side validations of CSS Form builder.

Css form builder

Gentlemen:

Thank you for your replies. I wanted to do just as Ian suggested, I had no idea the CSS Form Builder would assist with this.

I am also going to add a "mandatory" test field as this site will be for gifts and will need an area to enable customers to fill in what they request be written on the gift cards. I assume CSS Form Builder would assist with this also.

So many excellent features in the software available a newbie can overlook some of the potentials!

Thanks,
Glen

Along with adding the required option in the wizard when you are crafting the form you can also add in validations after the fact to an existing form by using the server and client side validations that are available with Form Builder. You can access the server validations in the application panel under server behaviors.
